Magellan’s annual conference kicks off in Sydney

More than 300 Magellan Travel members and industry partners have descended on Sydney’s Hyatt Regency for the 10th annual Magellan conference.

The conference, themed ‘Shaping our future together‘, promises to be jam-packed with content that will equip members with insights, new initiatives and tools to successfully navigate and embrace the future for their businesses in the ever-changing travel industry.

There was an early start for some as they embarked on a Magellan conference tradition, 18 holes of golf with friends and colleagues, this year at the Moore Park Golf Course, again sponsored by founding supplier partner, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.

Others opted for a more leisurely start to the day when Club Med treated members to an afternoon at the Manly Quarantine Station including a tour and a wine and cheese experience.

Last night saw the conference officially begin with Qantas Holidays, Atlantis the Palm and One&Only sponsoring a spectacular Welcome Reception, held onboard the Clearview Glass Boat, cruising Sydney Harbour.

Magellan Travel’s General Manager, Andrew Macfarlane addressed members and preferred partners, welcoming them onboard the vessel and officially opening the conference.
