Mandarin Oriental takes a dive into swimwear with $360 board shorts

If you were inspired by The Inspired Unemployed’s Liam Moore limited-edition pair of Budgy Smugglers but want a bit more coverage, then here’s your chance.

The Orlebar Brown brand has introduced an original design of the Bulldog swim short for Mandarin Oriental hotels – yours for a snip at US$242.25 (AU$360).

They have been “designed to celebrate Mandarin Oriental hotels around the world evoking the legendary service and 21st-century luxury that is steeped in the values of the Orient”.

The exclusive swim short features an original geometric artwork using the iconic Mandarin Oriental fan as a repeating pattern and adapted to fit the many tailored elements of an Orlebar Brown Bulldog swim short.

Just let’s just not get into the whole short / shorts, pant / pants thing. They come in blue, and another type of blue.

“The resulting garment reflects the meticulous design found at every Mandarin Oriental property,” the release says.

The Mandarin Oriental swim short is available at ShopMO.com, Orlebar Brown online and selected Mandarin Oriental properties.
