Minor Hotels acquires The Jazz Corner Hotel in Melbourne
Fast-growing accommodation group, Minor Hotels, has expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of the character-filled Jazz Corner Hotel in Melbourne.
The hotel, which will continue to operate under its current name, is renowned for its unique music offering, with both international and domestic live performances almost every night in its world-famous Bird’s Basement live jazz venue.
Located in Melbourne’s historic legal district, opposite Flagstaff Gardens, it is walking distance from the Queen Victoria Markets and myriad upscale restaurants and bars. The hotel is also an easy stroll to some of Melbourne’s best shopping, including Melbourne Central, Emporium Melbourne and Bourke St Mall. It is also a short distance from the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and Marvel Stadium.
Guests can choose from a range of themed suites with city skyline or parkland views which pay homage to jazz legends, such as the Ella Fitzgerald Studio View, the Charlie Parker One Bedroom View and the Frank Sinatra King Business Suite. All of which include kitchen and dining areas, in-room laundries, mini-bars, designer bathrooms, coffee machines and the latest TV and casting technology.
Additional on-site amenities include a café and the Mezzanine restaurant and bar for cocktails and casual dining, as well as a fully equipped gym.
“We are excited to add this distinctive property to our Melbourne portfolio,” Minor Hotels Australia and New Zealand COO, Craig Hooley, said.
“Melbourne is a vibrant city with a dynamic music, nightlife and major events scene, and The Jazz Corner Hotel is ideally situated for travellers to access everything the city has to offer – then unwind whilst enjoying live jazz performances in the comfort of their hotel.”
The Jazz Corner Hotel launch deal
Minor Hotels are celebrating the Jazz Corner Hotel acquisition with a book two nights and save 20 per cent launch offer inclusive of continental breakfast daily.
Avani Discovery members will also receive an additional 10% saving. This offer is available until 15 August 2024.
