Digital technology provider, NETGEAR has become the latest to offer a modern solution to Wi-Fi on the go with the introduction of Nighthawk M7 Ultra Mobile Hotspot (MR7500).

Based on NETGEAR’s near 30 years of pioneering network expertise, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon SDX75 chipset and running on Telstra’s Mobile Network, the M7 Ultra provides flexible, high-speed connectivity for consumers and businesses within mobile coverage.

“We’re raising the bar once again by packing secure, cutting-edge performance, based on our decades of experience, into an elegant pocket-sized package with the M7 Ultra,” NETGEAR president and GM of Connected Home Products and Services David Henry said.  “We’re proud to partner once again with Telstra to deliver an unparalleled solution for anyone who needs blazing fast, reliable Wi-Fi on the go.”

Travel providers around the world have been making the move towards modern WiFi technologies such as the new NETGEAR product.

Qatar Airways kicks it up a notch with Starlink collaboration

Qatar recently unveiled plans to roll out complimentary internet connection onboard specific aircraft and routes while Air New Zealand also announced a partnership with Elon Musk’s Starlink technology.

In the cruise world a number of well-established lines have also gone down the Starlink path.

Seabourn officially installs Starlink Wi-Fi on all its ships

Seabourn has installed the technology on all of its ships while Cunard, P&O and Holland America Line have all made steps towards kitting out their entire fleets.

“For our guests and our team members, maintaining the connectivity they are accustomed to at home is an important part of the cruise experience,” Holland America Line president Gus Antorcha said last year.

NETGEAR provides secure and fast connection

Public Wi-Fi, while convenient, is not secure and not worth risking confidential business information or a personal bank transfer. The M7 Ultra provides a portable, private Wi-Fi connection with a built-in firewall for up to 64 devices in any place that has cellular coverage. The hotspot makes 8K streaming, gaming and video conferencing virtually seamless and lag-free.

Whether working remotely, staying in touch with family and friends, or enjoying entertainment on the go, having a reliable, secure and fast internet connection can make a huge difference in productivity, convenience, and satisfaction. The M7 conveys the benefits of Wi-Fi 7 and 5G technology, meaning faster speeds, lower latency, and better Wi-Fi coverage than ever before. It also provides a strong, reliable connection with theoretical 5G speeds of up to 10 Gbps. With tri-band Wi-Fi 7 and dual-band concurrent operation, it unleashes aggregated Wi-Fi speeds of up to 5.8 Gbps. Real world download and upload speeds will be less due to a range of factors.

“We’re thrilled to introduce the NETGEAR Nighthawk M7 Ultra to our Telstra mobile broadband range,” Telstra executive of strategic partnerships, innovation and devices Deon Liebenberg said.

“This mobile hotspot features the latest 5G with mmWave and Wi-Fi 7 technology available on the market making it a great pairing with Telstra’s mobile network offering Australia’s largest 5G coverage plus mmWave 5G in selected locations within the CBD’s of major cities. This device is designed to meet the needs of today’s fast-paced, connected world, offering Customers the speed and convenience they need.”

For businesses large and small

Perfect for small or remote offices, mobile businesses and pop-up locations, the new mobile hotspot is also ideal as a primary connection for businesses in the manufacturing, construction, health care and food and beverage industries, providing high-speed connectivity, scalability, flexibility and an enhanced customer experience.
