New expert sessions announced for Cruise360

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has announced new details of its upcoming Cruise360 Australasia conference, where two more expert sessions will shed light on industry challenges.

To be held in Sydney on 25 August, Cruise360 Australasia will allow travel agents to reunite around the future and gain insights into the new opportunities emerging from cruising’s global revival.

New additions to the conference program include author and educator Heidi Denning who will offer self-leadership strategies to help travel agents overcome obstacles and seize new opportunities, as well as a panel session in which cruise line sales and marketing leaders will provide insight into consumers’ changing habits and buying behaviour.

The expert sessions include:

Turning Obstacles into Opportunities: Heidi Denning – As travel agents emerge from a long crisis, Heidi Denning will provide insight into dealing with further change and developing the skills needed to better manage stress and uncertainty.

“When we embrace self-leadership strategies, it gives us the courage and the confidence to maximise the opportunities in the obstacles that we can’t control,” Denning said.

Changing Habits: Understanding Cruise Marketing Trends Post-Pandemic – A panel session examining how consumer behaviors are changing and how cruise lines are evolving their marketing strategies, moderated by Dan Russell (general manager & director, Clean Cruising), with Kathryn Lock (director of marketing, Royal Caribbean International), Chloe Jones (senior marketing manager, Princess Cruises), Steve Richards (director of sales, Silversea Cruises), Lisa Teiotu (commercial director Australia & New Zealand, MSC Cruises), and Matt Vince (director of marketing, Regent Seven Seas Cruises).

This session will include an overview of global trends presented by Google’s Henry Meagher, industry manager – travel.

Other sessions include a State of the Industry panel of cruise line heads and a keynote presentation on emerging opportunities by Uniworld president & CEO Ellen Bettridge. The conference will also feature panel sessions exploring new evolutions in cruising, the growth of experiential travel, and rebuilding the future for travel agents.

Cruise360 Australasia will be held at the Hyatt Regency Sydney on Thursday August 25, 2022, and will include the Cruise360 Trade Show and a welcome cocktail party on the night of Wednesday August 24.
