New Orleans & Company has announced a new partnership with Gate 7 to manage its public relations in Australia.

The official destination sales and marketing organisation for the New Orleans tourism industry will rely on Gate 7 to spearhead efforts in promoting New Orleans as a premier destination for Australian travellers.

“We are thrilled to partner with Gate 7 to showcase the charm and magic of New Orleans to the Australian market,” New Orleans & Company vice president of Tourism, Kim Priez, said.

“As more Australian travellers choose to explore Louisiana, New Orleans remains a must-see destination with its unique blend of vibrant music, rich history, world-class cuisine, and unforgettable cultural experiences that captivate every visitor.”

The partnership comes at an exciting time, as Tourism Economics recently projected Australia to be the third highest-spending market for international visitors to Louisiana in 2025, expecting $87 million in spending and over 40,000 visitors.

New Orleans is famous for its cultural treasures, special people and unforgettable hospitality. The city is famous for its music festivals, historical architecture, indulgent restaurants, cultural museums and Mardi Gras celebrations. Gate 7 will work closely with New Orleans & Company in showcasing the city as one of the most remarkable, unique, and welcoming destinations to Australians.

Highlights include ‘Museum Month,’ the 20th anniversary of the culinary extravaganza “COOLinary New Orleans,” and the month-long celebration of the city’s vibrant music scene, which is New Orleans Music Month.

Visitors can also look forward to the unique experience of Prospect.6, a citywide contemporary art triennial and the only exhibition of its kind in the US, Holidays New Orleans Style and Taylor Swift will be dropping in as part of her non-stop Eras world tour. Looking ahead to 2025, New Orleans will proudly host Super Bowl LIX, further solidifying its status as a premier destination Built to Host blockbuster events.

“I am incredibly passionate about the South as a destination, and we are elated to continue our work in the region by collaborating with New Orleans & Company to showcase what a unique and dynamic city it is to Australian media and travellers,” Gate 7 founder and managing director, Jo Palmer, said.
