‘Office away from office’ call answered with Flight Centre Corporate and Crystalbrook Collection partnership
Flight Centre Corporate, encompassing flagship brands FCM Travel and Corporate Traveller, has announced its partnership with the Crystalbrook Collection, as business travellers search for an “office away from the office” experience plus amenities conducive to health and relaxation.
The partnership brings together Flight Centre Travel Group’s thousands of corporate customers with Crystalbrook Collection’s eight hotels and resorts, allowing them to experience the group’s commitment to modern conveniences, sustainability, stylish design and unique luxury stays.
“This partnership represents the great synergies between Flight Centre Corporate and Crystalbrook Collection. We’re combining business with luxury, sustainability, and a bit of relaxation and fun,” said Flight Centre Corporate Managing Director ANZ Melissa Elf.
“Crystalbrook Collection is the ideal choice for those who want more than just a shower and bed on their next work trip, and we know that’s just what the modern-day corporate traveller is looking for.”
A recent independent survey commissioned by Flight Centre Corporate and conducted with a nationally representative panel of 1,001 Australians, highlighted the current hotel and amenity preferences of business travellers.
“The findings highlight the critical need for hotels to provide a working space away from home, that features amenities to support productivity and well-being. Our partnership with Crystalbrook Collection serves to meet these needs,” Elf said.
corporate travellers can feel good about where they stay knowing environmentally-friendly approaches have been considered.”
The survey found that business travellers highly value in-room office amenities, with 73 per cent wanting free and fast Wi-Fi, 41 per cent seeking free printing facilities, 37 per cent desiring more electrical outlets and USB ports, and 35 per cent requesting larger or better-equipped workspaces, including phone chargers and charging banks.
“These preferences highlight a significant demand for accommodations that support efficient workspaces within hotel rooms, over communal business centres or separate meeting rooms,” she said.
“Additionally, the survey revealed the importance of health-conscious breakfast options, comprehensive fitness facilities, and amenities that facilitate relaxation outside of hotel rooms.”
With 44 per cent of respondents deeming healthy breakfast options essential, 25 per cent favouring well-equipped fitness facilities, and 36 per cent seeking relaxation amenities beyond their rooms, it is clear business travellers are looking for a seamless blend of work and wellness during their stays.
Crystalbrook Collection group director of Sales and Distribution, Kylie Brajak, said Crystalbrook’s hotels and resorts seek to consider the evolving needs of business travellers.
“Flight Centre Corporate and Crystalbrook Collection are poised to ensure that travellers can work smart, stay comfortably, and relax consciously,” Brajak said.
“At Crystalbrook Collection, we believe that staying in a hotel should be about experiencing something beyond the ordinary. We provide unique, stimulating environments where luxury meets practicality, making sure every detail enhances your stay so you can work efficiently and recharge comfortably, and make the most of your travel experience.
“This includes fast free Wi-Fi, in-room tech, prime accessible locations, stylish yet functional spaces, healthy menu options and services including same-day drycleaning to facilitate a smooth and productive stay.”
Crystalbrook Collection supports eco-friendly practices, and since 2021 has partnered with EarthCheck, a leading scientific benchmarking and certification group for travel and tourism. For the past three years, Crystalbrook has used EarthCheck’s independent platform to measure and benchmark its environmental performance across key areas such as emissions, energy efficiency, and water usage.
“Our sustainability efforts include energy minimisation, the use of upcycled materials such as key cards from recycled timber, the use of eco-friendly technology behind the scenes, such as the Green Eco WasteMaster machine at Crystalbrook Kingsley in Newcastle that diverts food waste from landfill – just to name a few,” she said.
“These small touches, which are often behind-the-scenes, mean corporate travellers can feel good about where they stay knowing environmentally-friendly approaches have been considered.”
