With over 15 years of travel and tourism experience in product development, marketing, communication and destination promotion under his belt, Ben Alcock joins the Sultanate of Oman Tourism as PR & Communications Director for its Australian and New Zealand office.

“I’m thrilled to be taking up this role. The opportunity to help bring promotion of this remarkable destination to life, to tell the stories of its wonderful people and places, and encourage more travellers to expand their horizons and visit is a rare one indeed,” Alcock told Travel Weekly.

Alcock has previously held roles at Virgin Atlantic, Hill & Knowlton (Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority), the Flight CentreTravel Group, World Resorts of Distinction. He also runs his own travel blog, ‘Disarm Doors & Crosscheck’, and is a regular presenter on ABC’s ‘Planes, Passports and Postcards’ travel segment.
