Australia’s small group walking tour specialist, Park Trek, partnered with an experienced local operator to offer a walking tour of the famous Larapinta Trail in Central Australia.

The tour, called Eastern Larapinta Highlights and Mount Sonder, is seven days of glamping stays and communal meals for around 10 participants at a time.

“We are really excited to offer an itinerary in the Larapinta region,” managing director, Charles Thompson, said. “As with all of our walking trips it is day pack only and guests’ luggage will be transported for them.

“What makes this walk so special is that we have partnered with 100% Finke River Culture & Adventure so the tour will be guided by proud local Indigenous men and women,” he added.

The first departure leaves 5 August 2024 with only a few spots remaining for the all-inclusive guided walking tour.

Park Trek has been accredited by Ecotourism Australia since 2011, and its reconciliation action plan was endorsed by Reconciliation Australia in 2023. They are committed to sustainable travel and being a responsible tour operator in all respects.
