The newly refurbished Parkroyal Melbourne Airport unveils a new Asian-Australian fusion menu for the onsite all-day dining Airo Restaurant.

The menu debuts alongside the restaurant’s refurbishment and offers travellers a delicious selection while enjoying comfortable and stylish surroundings. It was created by Parkroyal Melbourne Airport’s executive chef Jee Whan Lee with the goal of bringing together locally sourced produce with flavours and spices from Asia that takes a nod to Parkroyal’s Singaporean heritage.

Travellers and guests can dine on diverse options available throughout the day, from breakfast brioches or lunch of local burrata with crispy speck to signature dinner dishes incorporating local produce, such as Lamb Rack from Mount Leura or Black Angus Beef Eye Fillet from West Gippsland.

In between flight snack options include Pacific Oysters, Cheesy Wagyu Meatballs, Korean Fried Chicken and Artisan Local Cheese Platters.

The refurbishment of Airo Restaurant, Airo Cafe, and Airo Bar brings a peaceful alternative to the hustle and bustle of the airport environment. They feature neutral materials, calming colours, and natural daylight with views of the terminal and departing planes. There are open space seating zones, private dining areas, and even workstations.

Guests can access Wi-Fi and a live screen showing domestic and international flight departures and arrivals. The venue provides the perfect ambiance for travellers looking for a convenient and tasty meal between flights as the Parkroyal Melbourne Airport is the only hotel directly connected to the terminal via a pedestrian skybirdge.

PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport offers a new Asian-Australian fusion menu.

General manager of Parkroyal Melbourne Airport, Cameron Mead, said: “The new Airo Restaurant caters to every need, providing a space for corporate travellers to catch up on emails over lunch, a comfortable spot for friends to enjoy snacks during lengthy stopovers, and enough space for families to relax and feast on a wide range of dishes suited to the choosiest of palates.”

“Hotel guests or those purchasing Short Stay Hourly Accommodation at PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport can combine their meal with a swim in our pool or a workout in our gym, and once they’re done, they have the quickest and most accessible walk to the airport of any of the hotels in the precinct.”

The launch follows the introduction of the hotel’s Short Stay Hour Accommodation offering that allows guests to make use of a guest room and hotel amenities for three, five, or eight hours.
