Perth’s Kings Park and Botanic Garden claims the title of Australia’s top attraction
Perth’s Kings Park (Kaarta Koomba), one of the world’s largest inner-city parks, has been named as Australia’s top attraction in the 2024 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards.
The park features the spectacular Western Australia Botanic Garden, which displays more than 3,000 species of the state’s unique flora.
It is also home to cafes, bushland walk trails, gardens and various children’s play areas that can keep guests busy for hours during their visit.
Two thirds of the 400-hectare park is protected as bushland and provides a haven for native biological diversity.
Things to do in Kings Park
Gastronomy – There are plenty of food and beverage options at Kings Park such as the Botanical Cafe, Koorak Cafe, Fraser’s Restaurant, and the Kings Park Kiosk.
Shopping – The park is the perfect place for visitors to find something special for their homes or gardens with various plant and trinket sellers.
Tours – Visitors can enjoy a wide array of activities such as Volunteer Guide tours, Segway Tours, and other cultural experiences.
Events and Functions – Guests can also book venues for special events with the multiple pavilions and event areas that can hold up to 250 people.
This award places the spotlight on the highest rated and reviewed destinations and travel experiences around the world. Kings Park and Botanic Gardens claims this spot ahead of other well-known attractions such as the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.
