PONANT grows commercial team with Julie Golding returning

PONANT grows commercial team with Julie Golding returning
Edited by Travel Weekly

PONANT is welcoming back Julie Golding, who is rejoining the company in the newly created role of key account manager for Australia & New Zealand.

This new position enhances PONANT’s commercial team as it continues to expand in the region.

Following Deb Corbett’s appointment as CEO for Asia Pacific in July, she identified the growing need for additional support for trade and retail consortia as PONANT continues to experience substantial industry growth.

As a result, this new role was created to further strengthen the business, reporting directly into Julie Rogers.

Julie Rogers, director of sales for PONANT, expressed her enthusiasm, “We are thrilled to welcome Julie Golding back to our dynamic team. Golding brings a wealth of expertise in luxury product development, further enriched by her recent experience mentoring small business owners towards financial success.”

Golding’s return represents a strategic step for PONANT as it continues to solidify its leadership in the luxury
expedition cruise market across Australia and New Zealand. With over 23 years of experience in sales
development, Golding has worked with prestigious brands such as the Globus Family of Brands, APT Group, and Rocky Mountaineer.

It was with Rocky Mountaineer that she first took on a key accounts role, successfully managing relationships with wholesale and key trade partners.

Golding’s career journey also led her to Silversea, where she began as business development manager for NSW
South and was later promoted to manage key accounts across Australia and New Zealand. Her expertise has only grown with her roles at PONANT, where she handled PONANT’s top accounts and took on Virtuoso as a national account.

Excited to join forces once again with Julie Rogers, with whom she has collaborated at Globus Family of Brands, Rocky Mountaineer, and PONANT, Golding looks forward to bringing her passion and industry know-how to this new and exciting appointment. She’s thrilled to be part of the PONANT sales team that shares her enthusiasm for creating exceptional travel experiences.

Deb Corbett, PONANT CEO Asia Pacific, added, “As PONANT continues its rapid growth in Asia Pacific, Julie’s appointment is a key step in intensifying our market presence. Her deep industry expertise and strong partner relationships are crucial as we elevate the brand and continue to deliver exceptional luxury expedition experiences for guests.”
