Preferred Hotels & Resorts welcomes nine new member properties
Preferred Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest independent hotel brand representing more than 650 hotels, resorts, and residences across 80 countries, welcomed nine best-in-class properties to its global portfolio between January 1 and March 31, 2023.
Ranging from a modern chalet-style resort in the Austrian Alps to a 39-story skyscraper in New York City’s NoMad district, these new members offer thoughtful services and personalised experiences to inspire summer 2023 travel plans and guide travelers as they explore new destinations.

Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol (featured image) (Telfs, Austria) – Legend Collection
Set in the Austrian Alps at 4,200 feet above sea level, Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol is a secluded chalet-style luxury resort offering 282 guest rooms with 32 suites. Rustic wood accents are accentuated with modern mountain lodge furnishings for an authentic sense of place, while private balconies offer views overlooking nearby peaks and valleys.

Virgin Hotels New York (New York, United States) – L.V.X. Collection
Comprising an entire city block in the heart of the booming NoMad neighbourhood, Virgin Hotels New York City – the newest addition to the Virgin Hotels collection – delivers a vibrant yet sophisticated experience in one of the world’s most exciting cities. Boasting a contemporary design that seamlessly melds the classic Virgin aesthetic with the dynamism of the Big Apple, the 39-story hotel extends 460 guest rooms, suites, and penthouses with floor-to-ceiling windows offering spectacular skyline views.

Hotel Villa Real 5* (Madrid, Spain) – L.V.X Collection
Surrounded by some of Madrid’s most important museums and landmarks, in a neighbourhood known for its architecture, Hotel Villa Real 5* is situated in the heart of the Spanish capital. Offering refined warmth, the 115 elegant guest rooms and suites feature traditional furnishings and luxurious marble-clad baths, many also benefit from private balconies or terraces with city views.
The hotel also boasts a unique art and archeology collection with more than 100 pieces of ancient art on display throughout the hotel.
