Qantas launches daily Denpasar flights

Qantas is diving headfirst into the Bali market, as it takes the frequency of its Sydney-Denpasar services from four per week, to seven, meaning travellers can jet off to Bintang central any day of the week.

It comes not long after Tigerair pulled out of its popular Bali route and parent company Virgin Australia decided not to bail it out.

Qantas’ new schedule will begin in March, in response to strong demand for Qantas flights on the route. Qantas recently made this route a year-round service, having previously operated seasonally.

The additional flights will begin operating on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday as of 26 March, filling in the gaps between the current Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday schedule.

From 27 April – 28 May, Qantas will temporarily return to a four flight per week schedule due to lighter market demand, before resuming daily flights from 29 May.

The additional services will continue to be operated by a Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Tickets are on sale now.
