Rail Europe announces winner of Dream Journeys Campaign
Rail Europe has named Justine Pielli, from Travel Associates Belconnen, as the winner of the inaugural Dream Journeys campaign.
Having submitted a catchy poem detailing her dream to experience some of the world’s most scenic trains in Switzerland, along with photos of her excited superimposed-self on some of those trains (in 1st class no doubt), Justine will now be living out her dream journey in the very near future.
Thanks to the numerous creative submissions received, Rail Europe will also be rewarding Aaron Marr (Helloworld Coffs Harbour), Matt Carter (Journeys Retold NZ), Rita Malik (Tailormade Travelling), and Alexander Taylor (The Fabulous Travel Consultants) with Eurail Passes and $100 vouchers for their highly engaging entries.
“We have been overwhelmed by the number of incredibly high-quality entries pouring in for this campaign,” GM of APAC, Richard Leonard, said. “It’s evident that European train travel is the ‘new black’ and highly popular among our travel advisors, with so many demonstrating their knowledge of train routes and destinations, and their keenness to experience it for themselves.
The Dream Journeys competition was an integral part of Rail Europe’s wider campaign to educate, inspire and incentivise travel advisors on the company’s wealth of resources, advanced booking tools and ongoing activities.
Launched in February with the roll-out of a comprehensive digital map, Rail Europe then held a travel advisor reporter challenge in March, which saw Andrew Sullivan (The Don’t Forget Travel Group) document and share his rail journey from London to Italy via Amsterdam and Switzerland.
The ongoing ‘weekly tips’ shares practical information with advisors to help them sell European trains better; and just last month, Rail Europe released their Rail Itineraries brochure featuring specially curated four, seven and 15-day themed itineraries across single and multiple countries throughout the continent.
“We will continue to innovate and work dynamically with key sales partners to encourage both advisors and their clients to explore Europe more sustainably by train; and this includes the opportunity to join us on two specially designed rail itineraries in October,” Leonard said.
Advisors should visit Rail Europe’s closed FB page for more information. Advisors who haven’t done so are reminded to get their logins to the Rail Portal and sign up to Rail Europe’s monthly webinars and closed Facebook group to enable seamless commission payments and gain access to exclusive incentives and offers.
With more than 200 rail providers in 70 countries on the platform, Rail Europe continues to invest heavily in advanced technology and tools to not only promote the various carriers, routes and destinations, but also equip users and partners with valuable information and inspiration.
