Scandanavia is back on the map for Beyond Travel

Beyond Travel has announced the relaunch of its Scandinavia & Beyond range for 2023/24, offering late-booking opportunities for winter adventures spanning Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland.

With an array of packages available, including budget-friendly options, the travel company urges travel advisors not to miss this chance for their clients to experience the Nordic winter, including Christmas availability this year.

“Our booking patterns have certainly changed in the post-COVID era,” said Michael Lavilles, CEO of Beyond Travel.

“The Australian market, known for its long lead times, has evolved, and we’re seeing a significant proportion of customers who are prepared to book late and travel late. As a result, we’ve reserved special allotments for popular winter months and Christmas time this year.”

Holidays in demand include:

  • Complete Iceland, 9 days from $4,340pp with savings up to $760 per couple
  • Ultimate Lapland, 10 days from $2,930pp with savings up to $750 per couple
  • Christmas in the Land of Fire & Ice, 6 days from $3,330pp with savings up to $500 per couple

All packages are commissionable to travel agents with many tours operating on a guaranteed departure basis.

Contrary to common misconceptions, Lavilles emphasises that Scandinavia is not exclusively a high-price tag destination.

“One size doesn’t fit all when it comes to travel. We can really tailor holidays to our customers’ budgets and interests. With our clever exchange rate hedging, we’ve been able to price our holidays exceptionally well and have made an affordable Scandinavian experience within reach for many,” he adds.

Adding to its allure, Beyond Travel offers unique experiences, such as husky and reindeer sleigh rides, stays in ice room hotels and the enchanting Northern Lights.

“We’ve made the ability to have these experiences effortless and we can see customer demand for beyond the ordinary inclusions, so the type of experiences we offer you’d struggle to just find anywhere,” Lavilles notes.

Customers are also increasingly looking to buy and travel ethically, and Norway stands out in particular for its commitment to sustainable travel.

“The entire Scandinavian region is forward-thinking when it comes to sustainability, but Norway takes it to another level,” says Lavilles.

“Travelling in Norway often involves coaches, trains, and ferries, which helps reduce a traveller’s carbon footprint. We have around a dozen programs within Norway that enable travellers to embrace a more sustainable form of travel including cruising with Havila Voyages, a leading local cruise operator with impeccable sustainability credentials.”
