Selling Viking tours earnt Janet Kizan a $10,000 kitchen renovation
Edited by Travel Weekly

You’d think a travel agent who sold a flotilla of Viking tours, accumulating $10,000 worth of points in the process, would secure herself a nice long holiday. Not Janet Kizan, she’s buying a new kitchen!

Geelong Travel agent Kizan, the winner of the Rewards by Viking incentive scheme, is going to use her $10,000 worth of points to completely renovate her kitchen using vouchers from IKEA, Bunnings and Harvey Norman.

For every river, ocean and expedition voyage booked during the promotional period, travel agents received one entry into the draw and doubled their Rewards by Viking points. Kizan was the lucky entrant to have her name drawn at random and was “ecstatic” to have won the prize.

“I am overwhelmed with gratitude and excitement. I wish to express my heartfelt thanks to Viking for this generous prize and to Geelong Travel for their continued support of me,” Kizan said.

“I recommend Viking’s voyages because of their commitment to quality, product diversity, and potential for lasting relationships with satisfied customers. Having travelled with Viking and experienced them, I am passionate about their exceptional products.”

Kizan intends to celebrate her prize winnings on a white goods upgrade and discretionary spending on herself and her new grandson.

Viking congratulated Kizon on her hard work to achieve the win and extended their gratitude to the team at Geelong Travel, a valued Viking trade partner, for their continued support.

Rewards by Viking is a trade loyalty program recognising Viking’s dedicated travel agent community, and rewarding agents with points for every ocean, river and expedition voyage sold. Points are redeemed in the online Rewards by Viking store, which hosts a wide range of high-quality brand-name items.

  • A consultant from Helloworld Travel purchased the latest Racing Wheel from Logitech with her points.
  • A House of Travel consultant in New Zealand used her points and bought a Bose Quiet Comfort wireless speaker.
  • A consultant from Geelong Travel redeemed her points and bought herself a Phillips Premium Airfryer.
  • And finally, an MTA consultant purchased multiple $500 Viking Cruise Vouchers to put towards the payment of his own Viking voyage.
