Sex sells! Lithuanian capital unveils naughty ‘The G-spot of Europe’ ad

Ask most people what’s the capital of Lithuania and, regrettably, most would struggle to tell you it’s the delightful medieval city of Vilnius.

And now the good folk at Vilnius’ tourist commission want to drive more holidaymakers to the picturesque town via a witty new campaign that’s seen the city labelled ‘the G-spot of Europe’.

“Nobody knows where it is, but when you find it – it’s amazing,” is the tagline for the capital’s international tourism campaign.

The campaign is set to target 18 to 35-year-old British and German holidaymakers via an outdoor campaign that features an image of a woman lying on bed with sheets printed with the map of Europe, grasping a handful of fabric where Vilnius is located.

But apparently not everyone’s happy with Vilnius’s raunchy marketing approach. Some have called its overtly sexual nature “outdated”, while others have asked for it to be postponed until after Pope Francis’ visit there in September.

It also includes a string of short videos for social media where it looks as though people are about to orgasm, however, they’re in fact staring in awe at Vilnius’s many attractions. Check them out below:
