Silversea’s Silver Ray heads for Rome on her maiden voyage
Silver Ray, the second Nova Class ship and the 12th in the Silversea fleet, has now embarked on her maiden voyage, departing Lisbon on June 15 and scheduled to arrive in Civitavecchia (Rome) on June 27.
Stops along the way include Cadiz, Malaga, Valencia and Palma de Mallorca before the main port of Barcelona then onto Palamos before heading to Saint Tropez in France. After that Silver Ray heads to Monte Carlo, Monaco, then Livorno (Tuscany), Italy before ger final stop in Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy.
Silver Ray will spend her inaugural season in the Mediterranean before crossing the Atlantic to the Americas in December 2024.
Earlier On Wednesday June 12, Silversea officially named its newest ship. During the ceremony, Jason Liberty, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean Group, and Bert Hernandez, celebrating his first naming as Silversea’s president, addressed esteemed guests.
The celebration included a bagpipe performance – customary Royal Caribbean Group tradition – alongside live dance performances, and renditions of the US and Portuguese national anthems.
