South Korea has become a must-visit destination for Australian travellers, joining Japan as one of Wendy Wu Tours’ most sought-after hotspots for 2025.

Wendy Wu Tours managing director, Simon Bell, describes South Korea as a “rising star” destination heading into the busy summer booking season.

“We’ve seen a strong year-on-year increase in bookings, and our 2025 departures are filling faster than ever,” Simon Bell said.

“In fact, South Korea has surged with a 45 per cent increase in search volume for tours to the destination in the past year, while Japan, already a perennial favourite, continues to captivate travellers with its unique blend of tradition and innovation.”

Bell also noted that the company’s combination tour, Essence of South Korea & Japan, was introduced as a fresh itinerary last year, and the response from travellers has exceeded expectations.

“We were confident this multi-destination tour would appeal to travellers looking to maximise their time in the region by combining two cultural experiences, but we’ve been genuinely surprised by how well it has performed over the past 12 months as demand for South Korea has rapidly grown. It’s clear that South Korea is set to be on everyone’s bucket list in 2025.”
