South West Sydney Tourism launches Western Sydney Tourism Awards
Edited by Travel Weekly

South West Sydney Tourism (SWST) has taken the initiative to launch the Western Sydney Tourism Awards in October this year, recognising and celebrating the achievements of the local tourism industry.

Established in 2017, ‘South West Sydney Tourism Taskforce NSW Inc.’  is a non-profit organisation that promotes the visitor market and tourism opportunities in the region, engaging with government representatives and businesses to revitalise local tourism assets and arrange events with influential speakers to foster collaboration in the industry.

Over the last seven years, SWST has showcased destinations and held information events for members and stakeholders as well as topical events (such as travel agent packages or hotel investments).

Founding board member and president, Fazila Farhad called all stakeholders to support and enter the inaugural awards to further activate the visitor economy ahead of the arrival of the Western Sydney International Airport.
