Accommodation specialist Stuba has announced a record-breaking sales day and week for both revenue and room nights booked, outperforming pre-pandemic levels in w/c 23 January.

Compared to the same week in 2020, the bedbank has seen a 47% increase growth in revenue and is seeing solid growth for all key leisure destinations.

Stuba has also reported that nearly 50% of sales are for travel from May 2023 and beyond suggesting that the early booking behaviour pattern has reverted to pre-pandemic trends. In addition, 88% of sales are for 4* and 5* properties.

Having operated since 1991, Stuba survived the crippling COVID pandemic and continues to provide a bespoke service to it’s customers, offering a 24/7 service and access to a range of static, dynamic, exclusive DMC and niche third-party options to ensure Stuba customers receive the best hotel rates and availability.

Destinations that are seeing strong growth include Cancun/Riviera Maya +142%, Hawaii +113% and 62% for Bali and 53% for Barbados.

Long-haul destinations are also seeing strong sales with Amalfi Coast +88%, Santorini +116% and Costa del Sol +53%.

Rebecca Day, Head of Sales Australia, said “We’re absolutely delighted with how the year has started. To see such a strong start to sales in terms of room nights booked and revenue is really encouraging. We are always very grateful for all the support from our partners and agents, and we are thrilled that our industry finally seems to be returning to where it deserves to be!”
