On 19 August, the hotel hosted the official opening ceremony for the event, welcoming esteemed guests including; His Excellency, the President of Fiji, Williame Katonivere, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation, the Honorable Viliame Gavoka and the traditional landowners

“We are stoked to be the official accommodation partner for the 2024 Corona Fiji Pro presented by Bonsoy and to be a part of this prestigious event after a seven-year hiatus,” Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay general manager Silvano Dressino told Travel Weekly.

“It’s a privilege to welcome the world’s top surfers, media, and surf enthusiasts to our resort, which is a 20-minute boat ride from the iconic Cloudbreak.”

Australian surfers have had a strong showing so far at the event with our two female Olympic representatives Tyler Wright and Molly Picklum currently surfing in the quarter-finals.

Earlier today, Olympic silver medallist Jack Robinson progressed to the quarter-finals along with fellow Australian Ethan Ewing.
