Tauck announces slew of new itineraries at a private lunch in Sydney

Tauck’s vice president of global sales and reservations Steven Spivak welcomed the media to a special lunch at the Firedoor in Sydney on Thursday. The lunch was to celebrate Tauck’s 100th birthday which is taking place in 2025.

Spivak is based in Connecticut but is currently in Australia taking a team of US agents on a version of Tauck’s Grand Australian and New Zealand tour.

At the lunch, Spivak alongside Tauck’s Australian MD David Clark, provided an insight into Tauck’s history as well as its immediate plans.

Clark described the family-owned business as being “run with ethics and morals that I’ve never seen before in any other tourism business.”

Meanwhile, Spivak revealed that every single one of Tauck’s employees will be attending an exclusive 100th birthday celebration in Florence this year.

Tauck is celebrating in Florence “because it is the birthplace of the Renaissance. And the idea of being reimagined. We are striving to see a new day where art and culture and science come together.”

As part of its expansion, Tauck is launching two new river cruises in France in 2026 to help it become a “recognised leader” in the river cruise space, Spivak said.

Tauck’s river cruise offering has consistently sold out, he said, the challenges has been growing the business and adding capacity.

The new ships also include cabin spaces specifically tailored to solo travelers, he said, adding that they are a key part of Tauck’s growth strategy.

As well as the two new ships, Tauck is adding a number of new itineraries and destinations, including:

  • A tour of Bordeaux, the Seine River, and Paris – this tour begins in Bordeaux and ends up in Paris. Guests travel from Bordeaux to Paris first class on the TGV before traveling down the Seine on a river boat. In Paris, they can experience an exclusive after hours tour of the Louvre.
  • Three Bridges tour of Scotland – a Scottish tour covering Edinburgh. Lough Bray Dundee and and St. Andrews.
  •  Mexico – Tauck is going back to Mexico for the first time since the the 1950s. Guests will be able to explore Mexico City, San Pancho and Oaxaca.
  • A full exploration of Southeast Asia – A 16-day tour of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia
  • A US national parks tour which widens the geographical net to include stays at luxury hotels such as the Four Seasons

All new tours will be available to book for the 2026 season.
