The Levantine Hotel in the Yarra Valley has announced it is set to open in June 2025 and become part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World collection.

It is located in the rolling hills of award-winning Levantine Hill Estate and a complement to the winery’s existing cellar door, fine-dining restaurant, and events centre. The new boutique hotel offers 33 beautifully appointed suites over two levels Each accommodation features its own living area, study, and private balcony with stunning views over the vineyards and rolling hills.

In addition to that, eight of the suites features expansive circular baths while the Optume Suite has its own dressing room, open fireplace, cellar and bar, making it the perfect Executive retreat, or bridal suite and cocoon for couples.

Designed by world-renowned Australian architects, FK (formerly Fender Kastalidis), the striking, undulating hotel embodies the “Genius Loci” as a guiding principle of Karl Fender’s approach for Levantine Hill.

Drawing inspiration from wine barrels, the restrained and sophisticated design aligns with its function and placement in the landscape. Nestled into the downhill slope, the pavilion, finished in exposed concrete, complemented with a fine grain latticework of bronze metallic screens which subtly blends into its surroundings, the carefully positioned windows and rooms offer uninterrupted views of Coldstream’s picturesque rolling hills.

Further enhancing the first-class experience, guests can enjoy access to multiple onsite heli-pads, fully equipped indoor gym, an outdoor exercise area and a 1.5 km walking sculpture track which winds through the sculpture-filled gardens brimming with over 30 pieces of internationally created sculptures while complimentary continental breakfast and a fully stocked mini-bar are included in every stay.
