This cruise line is covering flights for its 50th anniversary

Nothing sweetens a cruise quite like a discount, but how about some free airfares to go along with it?

Well, that’s what American Cruise Lines has in mind for its 50th anniversary.

The cruise line has revealed discounts on its Mississippi River cruises and domestic airfares are chucked in for nothing.

Travellers are being offered $1,200 off per stateroom on 8-day lower Mississippi River cruises and $1,000 off per stateroom for 8-day Snake and Colombia river cruises from 8 April to 8 May. And travellers who book these itineraries of course get their domestic flights for free.

“The U.S.A is one of the most dynamic countries in the world to explore by riverboat, so with our most exciting year ever ahead, we are commemorating the past 50, with Wave Deals that will encourage more Americans to discover how amazing cruising close to home has become,” Charles B. Robertson, the president & CEO of American Cruise Lines, said.

Each cruise includes beer and wine with lunch and dinner, a cocktail hour and hors d’oeuvres each evening, complimentary room service, Wi-Fi and included gratuities. Dining is included in specialty restaurants on many of the company’s cruises.

American Cruise Lines will also add American Serenade to its collection and it will sail the Mississippi River for the first time in April.
