Tourism Australia’s “G’day” picks up best animated short gong at LA Film Festival

Tourism Australia’s “G’day” picks up best animated short gong at LA Film Festival

Tourism Australia’s “G’day” film has picked up the Best Animated Short gong at the LA Film Festival.

The film marked a departure from Tourism Aus’ previous campaigns which featured the nine-minute film as the centrepiece of a suite of content produced by M&C Saatchi Sydney.

The film was also designed to appeal to a truly global audience, with translations into German, Korean and Japanese.

Tourism Australia had previously produced “Matesong” designed to appeal to poms and “Dundee the Return” to target American audiences but nothing on this scale.

“This matters because high quality, engaging content moves consumers and influences perceptions. Creative storytelling about the best destination on earth is a winning combination!” said Susan Coghill, Tourism Australia’s chief marketing officer, of the award.
