The rest of Aus becomes butt of Tassie jokes

Tasmania’s international visitor numbers jumped 20 per cent in 2015 – the most of any state in Australia.

The International Visitor Survey, released on Wednesday, showed Tasmania’s 212,000 overseas visitors spent $314 million, a 34 per cent increase on the previous year.

Premier Will Hodgman said the state’s top international markets were now China, the United States, the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Hong Kong.
