Adventure World recently hosted a group of Australian travel advisors on a famil showcasing the wonders of a winter holiday in Canada beyond the typical ski slopes.

The advisors explored the breathtaking landscapes and iconic sights of British Columbia and Alberta, including Vancouver, Jasper, Lake Louise, Banff and Calgary. They also embarked on a VIA Rail train journey, experiencing the unique beauty of Canada from a different perspective.

Among those on the trip were Mia Zanco from Noosa Travel and Cruise, Maria Vavala of Round Travel, Hannah Thompson from Travel Associates Mountain Creek, Lynne Michel  from Sabra Travel, Sophie Anderson of Destination HQ, Star Volker from RACQ Bundaberg and Kieran Roberts from Travel Associates Gungahlin.

Adventure World’s innovative MAKE TRAVEL MATTER program offers travellers the opportunity to enrich their Canadian adventures with meaningful experiences. One such highlight was a visit to the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary, a non-profit organisation dedicated to educating the public about wolfdog ownership and rescuing abandoned or neglected animals. Located between Banff and Calgary, the Sanctuary, on 65ha of land, provides a home to 40 wolfdogs. Travel advisors were treated to informative presentations by the Sanctuary’s passionate staff and were able to witness the majestic beauty of these fascinating creatures firsthand.

Another MAKE TRAVEL MATTER experience included local company, Jasper Food Tours. This guided walking tour took the advisors on a culinary adventure through the town, visiting four local restaurants and sampling a selection of delicious dishes paired with local beverages. The element of surprise added to the excitement, as the specific menu remained a secret until each stop.

Adventure World’s meticulously crafted itineraries ensure a well-rounded travel experience. This famil provided advisors with a deeper understanding of the MAKE TRAVEL MATTER program and showcased the diverse offerings of Canada, from the iconic destinations like Jasper and Banff to unique cultural experiences.
