Travel DAZE 2020 speaker spotlight: René de Monchy, Tourism New Zealand

In case you weren’t already aware, Travel DAZE 2020 is on next month, and we’ve got an absolute ripsnorter of a line-up of speakers ready to engage and educate you.

One of them is René de Monchy, director of commercial at Tourism New Zealand.

De Monchy joined the organisation back in August 2015 as director of trade, PR and major events, before taking on the role of managing Tourism New Zealand’s commercial function in June 2018, which brings together its offshore offices and global business events team.

He has 15 years’ global experience in consumer-led businesses, including in senior marketing roles for Fonterra and Heineken, and also as marketing director at Asia Pacific Breweries in Singapore.

The event (which will be the only industry event of its scale in Australia this year) will virtually bring together the best minds from within the travel sector, along with external experts, to foster its recovery from COVID-19.

Presented by the Italian National Tourist Board, Travel DAZE 2020 will explore what tangible steps business owners, travel agents, tour operators, marketers, and communication specialists can take toward rebuilding a sustainable and profitable future.
