Travel DAZE is here and it’s kicked off with a bang!
The day of days has finally arrived! Travel DAZE is here and we’ve got a massive line-up of incredible speakers to entertain and inform the best and brightest of the travel industry.
We’re blessed to be joined by travel industry experts, Aussie media icons and a couple of foreign ambassadors, amongst many others.
On top of this, the whole day is MC’d by The Chasers’ hilarious Chris Taylor.
The day has kicked off with an Acknowledgment of Country and Welcome Dance by Wiradjuri man Neville Boney which was an amazing introduction to the day.
We were then joined by Dr Nick Coatsworth, who enlightened us about travelling safely post-COVID.
Travel DAZE goers were enthralled with an insightful talk from Christina Aventi and Thomasine Burnap on rebelling against the montage and then got to enjoy a discussion on all things B Corp and travel with Travel Weekly’s editor Ali Coulton and B Corp experts Natalie Kidd and Mindy Leow.
After morning tea, Roslyn Ranse hit the stage running with a talk on coming through the trying times; Leanne Harwood discussed culture in the industry; Matthew Cameron-Smith spoke on the importance of Indigenous Tourism; and Anna Marsden chatted about sustainability and the Great Barrier Reef.
After lunch we will be joined by Australia’s most loved clever person – Dr Karl Kruszelnicki – to wow us on how travel makes you a better person.
We’ll then be joined by Kathryn Robertson on having a sustainable purpose in business, Justin Drape will discuss creativity and travel, and speaking on travel insurance will be nib’s Matt Endycott.
Finally in the afternoon session Travel DAZE attendees will be enthralled by a panel of South American travel experts for a discussion of South American travel. Then, there will be a talk from Bruce Poon Tip on meaningful travel and afterwards the post Travel DAZE drinks begin!
Fancy sticking around? After the spectacular talks wrap up, we’ll be hosting the Australian premiere of The Last Tourist, a new documentary that lays the industry bare and offers actionable steps to ensure travel is used as a force for good.
Find out more, and register for tickets to the premiere HERE.
The event is the best in the travel industry and if you happened to miss it this year then keep your eyes peeled for next year’s Travel DAZE!
