TripAdvisor adds Langham to the cart

TripAdvisor has kicked off a partnership with Langham Hospitality Group, adding the group to its hotel inventory via the instant booking platform.

Travellers shopping for hotels on TripAdvisor will soon be able to conveniently book Langham hotels without leaving the TripAdvisor site experience.

“We are excited to join TripAdvisor’s new instant booking distribution channel,” Langham’s global director of e-commerce Nick Cohen said.

“It gives our customers the opportunity to make a seamless reservation on TripAdvisor, powered by our own direct inventory. Our partnership with TripAdvisor is focused on providing guests with the ideal set of options as they research and book their trip.”

TripAdvisor first launched its instant booking platform to US consumers in June 2014, with a phased roll out to other international markets, including Australia and New Zealand, expected over time.

Hotels available through TripAdvisor instant booking receive a prominent booking button that travellers may click to easily complete their reservation on the site. And just like with other instant booking partners, the transaction and customer care are handled by the hotel.

“Our partnership with Langham Hospitality Group is another milestone in our expansion of the breadth of trusted hotel brands bookable through TripAdvisor instant booking,” TripAdvisor’s senior vp for global sales Robin Ingle added.
