Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching and here are two romantic getaway destinations in Mexico to make any traveller’s day with their special someone even better.

Casona Roma Norte, Mexico City

This Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to visit Mexico City, as the streets come alive with roses, heartfelt gifts, and the city basks in the most exquisite weather of the year. Casona Roma Norte, a beautifully restored 1920s mansion hotel, is offering an exclusive Expect the Unexpected Package for couple to enjoy a romantic escape in the heart of Roma Norte.

The package includes a 3-night stay with complimentary breakfast at Aquiles, the hotel’s on-site Mexican restaurant, a welcome cocktail and gift, a 50-minute massage, and a guided tour of the Colonia Roma neighbourhood. From the property, guests can explore cultural gems like the Museo del Objeto del Objeto (MODO), a short walk from the hotel, or shop for local handicrafts at the Roma Bazar.

The property features six distinct dining concepts, including Matcha Saloon by La Macaria and Akamba for curated mezcal selections. Guests can also enjoy panoramic views from Holden Rooftop, the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring the neighborhood.

Rates for the Expect the Unexpected Package start at US$425 (around AU$684) per night plus taxes and service fees. Additional inclusions are early check-in/late check-out (subject to availability) and airport transfers.

NUMU Boutique Hotel, San Miguel de Allende

San Miguel de Allende is the ultimate lover’s destination, with its winding cobblestone streets inviting intimate strolls, and world-famous sunsets painting the sky. NUMU Boutique Hotel, located in the heart of this enchanting town, has curated a series of romantic experiences, making it the perfect place to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

Couples can stroll through San Miguel’s colonial streets, or browse unique jewelry at Fabrica la Aurora, an artisan’s haven just moments from the hotel. For a truly memorable experience, NUMU can arrange Private Hot Air Balloon Rides over the San Miguel countryside, offering couples a serene and intimate escape into a world of their own.

From 10 to 14 February, the hotel’s NOIA Restaurant will host candlelit dinners with a special prix-fixe menu, including dishes like Tuna Tartare, Roasted Beef Fillet, and Passion Fruit White Chocolate Mousse for dessert. Guests can toast their romance with rose petals, red wine pairings, and live music, while enjoying panoramic views of San Miguel’s iconic skyline and sunsets.

NUMU’s wellness center also offers a Romantic Spa Package from 14 to 16 February, featuring couples’ massages, private meditation sessions, and luxurious treatments like the Rose Petal Bath and champagne toasts.
