UK ‘Disneyland’ to be built in Kent

Paramount Theme Park will roller-coast into the UK, and it’s already being dubbed the country’s ‘Disneyland’.

It look’s like Paramount Film studios, the makers of popular Hollywood films like Forest Gump, Wolf of Wall Street, Kung fu Panda, and so many more, are giving Disney a good run for it’s money, with plans to open the extravagant theme park in Kent by Summer of 2022.

The Derby Telegraph reports the park will have the usual theme park essentials like rides, rollercoasters and food outlets. But it does not stop there, oh no. There are big plans to build retail outlets, restaurants, hotels, a nightclub and a 2,000-seat theatre.

The Paramount theme park will be built in Dartford, Kent, about an hour drive east of London, on a 872-acre site. The expected cost to build the park is a whopping £3.5 billion!

According to The Sun, the choice of rides have not yet been finalised, but suggestions for zones include Adventure Isle, Land of Legends, Cartoon Circus, Starfleet Command, Action Square, Port Paramount and Entertainment City.

A development consent order will be submitted for approval in November.
