UrbnSurf sets itself up for a wave of interest in the events space in Sydney’s West
Applejack Hospitality’s RAFI UrbnSurf at Sydney Olympic Park is hoping ample parking and a seaside aspect in Sydney’s west, plus high-level dining, will attract the events crowd to the new venue.
The event space overlooks a man-made surf park and promises an elevated dining experience, created by executive chef at RAFI & Applejack UrbnSurf, Matias Cillóniz, in collaboration with Applejack’s director of culinary, Patrick Friesen.
They have curated a menu with a focus on responsibly sourced seafood, vegetables, and grass-fed meats to be enjoyed while overlooking panoramic views of rolling sets across the blue lagoon and park, a sibling venue to RAFI North Sydney.
Features of the menu include East33 premium Sydney rock oysters, wild-caught yellow fin tuna from Bermagui NSW, kingfish from Spencer Gulf SA, trevally from NZ and steamed barramundi from Cone Bay in WA . For the veg lovers there is Jerusalem artichokes roasted with toasted hazelnut, burnt butter and Grana Padano cream, and crispy eggplant with spices, honey and herbs.
The upper level of URBNSURF is accessible without entry into the surf park, and while the 165-seater restaurant with Luchetti Krelle interiors is already attracting attention so too are the Surf Suites, a multi-purpose events space catered by RAFI with the same waterside vista.
“With our casual eatery Sandy’s downstairs, we can offer guests at UrbnSurf Sydney every dining experience they require, be it a quick snack between surf breaks, a long luxurious lunch, evening cocktails, corporate event or a special dinner,” Ben Carroll Applejack Co-Owner & Director said.
RAFI UrbnSurf is now offering several incredible events spaces in its sprawling venue, located on 15 Hill Road, Sydney Olympic Park, from work celebrations to hens’ parties, media events, birthdays, networking sessions and anniversaries.
Bookings of 25 and above are considered a group booking while bookings of 1-24 people can be booked in the dining room or terrace.
