Viking announces its 2025 reward for top-performing Australian travel advisors
Edited by Travel Weekly

Viking has announced the 2025 reward for its top-performing Australian travel advisors as part of its Viking Platinum Club 2025 incentive program.

The successful travel advisors will explore scenic fjords, charming towns, and iconic cities on a 15-day Viking Homelands ocean voyage. The voyage is one of Viking’s most popular itineraries sailing the homelands of the Vikings. Departing Bergen, Norway, on 4 May 2026 and arriving in Stockholm, Sweden on 18 May 2026 on the new ocean ship Viking Vela.

Travel advisors must finish in one of the top ten positions in Australia by achieving one of the highest numbers of new bookings between 1 January 2025 and 31 December 2025 to be eligible for the voyage.

In addition to winning their position on the Viking Platinum Club 2025 voyage, the successful agents will have an invitation to share the journey with a travel companion, receive a complimentary stateroom upgrade, Viking’s Silver Spirits Beverage package, a US$300 (around AU$477) shipboard credits, AU$2,000 Viking Air credit towards flights, two complimentary optional shore excursions plus 50 per cent off additional bookings, and 8,000 bonus Rewards by Viking points to redeem on travel rewards.

Celebrate success together: Viking Platinum Agencies

Behind every great advisor is a great team. That’s why agencies who support Viking’s Platinum Advisors will also be recognised with exclusive rewards to celebrate their collective success too.

In addition, Viking Platinum Agencies also enjoy a hosted Platinum party to celebrate the entire team, AU$5,000 co-op marketing investment and personalised marketing plan, a complimentary famil voyage on an 8-day river or ocean cruise and VIP reservations support for an enhanced booking service for their agency.

For advisors who narrowly missed entering the esteemed ranks of Viking’s Top 10 Advisors, the top 11-20 Travel Advisors will be rewarded with 8,000 Rewards by Viking points.

Whether an individual advisor aiming for Platinum status or an agency focused on growth, Viking offers the opportunity to be rewarded for delivering excellence. Viking advises agencies to start planning their strategies today and work to make 2025 their best year yet.

The Viking Vela

The Viking Vela is the newest ship in Viking’s award-winning ocean fleet of sister ships. Classified as a small ship, the Viking Vela has a gross tonnage of 54,300 tons, with 499 staterooms that can host 998 guests; the ships feature all veranda staterooms, elegant Scandinavian design, light-filled public spaces and abundant al fresco dining options. The Viking Vela will spend her inaugural season sailing itineraries during the “quiet season” in the Mediterranean before continuing to Northern Europe.

Viking is working on a project for a partial hybrid propulsion system for future ocean ships based on liquid hydrogen and fuel cells which could allow the company to operate at zero-emission in the Norwegian Fjords and other sensitive environments. The Viking Vela has been designed with the future in mind, ensuring she can be retrofitted to incorporate these new technologies as they become available.
