Virtuoso agents get a taste of luxurious lifestyle care of hosts West Hollywood Travel + Tourism Board

Four key Virtuoso travel agents were guests of West Hollywood Travel + Tourism Board on a famil that showcased the city of West Hollywood’s luxury destination.

Paola Zevallos, Australian trade representative for West Hollywood Travel & Tourism Board, and West Hollywood senior director of business development, Denis Zyuzin, curated the two-day experience, from 7 to 9 August, filled with luxury activities, dining, and accommodations.

The hosted agents included Melanie Evans from Evans & Turner Travel Associates, Becky Kent-Perchalla from Perchalla & Turner Travel Associates, and Leonie Spencer and Christine McKerrell from MTA Travel. Their stay at the Pendry West Hollywood provided a luxurious home base as they explored the city.

During their visit, the group explored three iconic areas: Sunset Strip, Santa Monica Boulevard and the Design District. They dined at premier locations like 1 Hotel West Hollywood, Merois by Wolfgang Puck, The London West Hollywood, and The West Hollywood Edition. The group also dined at one of the newer restaurants to WeHo’s culinary scene, Ladyhawk, located at Kimpton La Peer Hotel.

The group also explored Sunset Strip and the boutique shops and showrooms in the Design District, as well as enjoying iconic wellness activities such as FaceGym.

Becky Kent-Perchalla, of Perchalla & Turner, was enthusiastic about the experience of exploring West Hollywood.

“I love that WeHo is its own city within a city. It’s compact, walkable, and even has separate districts,” she said.

“The Design Quarter is fabulous for lifestyle shopping and rooftop gyms, and it even has Aussie standard coffee at the super cute Aussie-owned cafe, SOL. The music heart of WeHo is omnipresent, which gives WeHo the vibe that makes you want to return – again and again.

“With the wonderful selection of luxury hotels to choose from, there truly is something for everybody. From Art Deco historical hotels to rooftop pools to lobbies filled with vinyl records and street art, the hardest decision you’ll have is choosing where to stay.”

The other Australian travel agents who were visiting West Hollywood at the time joined the group to experience some of the amazing luxury offerings in the city, including Donna Phillips from Donna Phillips Travel (Frontier Travel), Sonia Jones from Sonia Jones Travel (Frontier Travel), and Gabrielle Thackray from Wentworth Travel.

Jones was particularly impressed with her first visit.

“My first time to West Hollywood and I’m a convert. Gorgeous hotels, great dining experiences, and rooftops galore! It’s also a really walkable area – I felt very safe and there’s so much to see and do,” she said.
