Katrina Barry will lead Webjet’s business-to-consumer division as the company also announces the possible demerger of its two key departments; WebBeds and Webjet B2C.

Barry is an experienced technology executive who has held a range of executive roles including CEO of me&u from 2022 to 2024 and Contiki Holidays & Trafalgar Tours managing director in Australasia for eight years.

In addition to her extensive executive experience, she has a unique understanding of Webjet B2C given her position as a Non-Executive Director of the Company since 2022.

Barry commences her new role today, 24 June and has stepped down from the Webjet Limited Board effective immediately.

“Katrina brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our Company,” Webjet Limited managing director John Guscic said.

“I am confident that she will bring considerable value to Webjet B2C and we are excited to see the Webjet B2C business reach new heights under her leadership.”

Supporting Katrina will be Layton Shannos as CFO for Webjet B2C. Shannos brings over a decade of leadership experience across a range of senior finance and corporate roles in the Webjet OTA business, including most recently as CFO of Webjet OTA.

If the demerger is pursued, it is expected that Don Clarke will be appointed as chair of Webjet B2C, and Brad Holman and Shelley Beasley will be appointed as non-executive directors. Don will remain a director of the company until completion of the demerger, at which time Don will step down from the board.

Brad Holman and Shelley Beasley will remain in their roles as director of Webjet B2B and global COO respectively.

“These appointments ensure Webjet B2C is led by a CEO and Board who have diverse and complementary skills and expertise, as well as the experience required to position Webjet B2C for continued success as a separately listed company in a continuously evolving and dynamic environment,” Webjet Limited chair Roger Sharp said.
