Edited by Travel Weekly

Online travel agency Webjet has have relaunched their partnership with AirAsia with a huge Asia flights sale, available until 2 June.

To give customers a greater breadth of choice and price point, hundreds of new flight options to Aussie favourite destinations have been added, including Bali, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok via AirAsia, AirAsiaX, Thai AirAsia X and AirAsia Indonesia.

“The relaunch of our partnership with AirAsia underscores this dedication, ensuring convenient access to some of the most competitive fares for destinations experiencing a notable surge in demand for flights,” Webjet OTA CEO David Galt said. “For example, we’ve seen an increase in interest to the beloved Aussie hotspot, Bali, especially from Perth, as well as searches and bookings to Thailand continuing to rise.”

Added chief commercial officer Paul Carroll: “With four airlines in the AirAsia Group now flying to and from Australia for the first time, we offer more value and choice than ever before for our guests ‘Down Under’, which connect to over 130 destinations across Asia and beyond – including Aussie favourites like India, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam and more. It’s an opportune time to relaunch our partnership with Webjet, as we continue to consider further expanding our services in the near future.”

The sale ends 11:59pm 2 June 2024 (AEST) unless sold out prior. It is valid for select AirAsia routes for departures from today 20 May until 31 March 2025.

AirAsia X CEO Benyamin Ismail said: “We have enjoyed a strong partnership in the past and it is great to be back on sale on Australia’s leading online travel agency.

“We know price, value and connectivity are core for our Australian guests who love our great value fares on medium haul routes to Asia and beyond, including Premium Flatbeds which are like business class seats for a fraction of the price and now offer lounge access in Sydney and Melbourne.

“AirAsia X has significant growth plans in line with strong demand, and Webjet’s support will go a long way in serving one of our most important markets.”

Blackout periods apply and fares are subject to availability. Seats are limited and may not be available at peak times or on all flights. Payment surcharge may apply. See AirAsia’s conditions of carriage for more information.
