Wendy Wu responds to river cruise boom

Asia specialist Wendy Wu Tours has responded to the growing popularity of river cruise in the region by launching a dedicated brochure.

The new 60-page Asia River Cruise 2016-17 brochure features a range of cruise itineraries from three of WWT’s touring styles- fully inclusive Classic group tours, Deluxe tours and Independent programs, across China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and India.

The move comes as managing director Alan Alcock reported a “significant” increase in sales of cruise-tour product from agents and their clients.

“The clear message from the trade was they required our cruise products to be differentiated from our entire product range, which currently are featured in our mainstream brochures,” he said.

“Accordingly we listened to that message and produced a dedicated Asian River Cruise brochure which clearly displays Wendy Wu Tours entire cruising range”

The itineraries cover river cruises along the Yangtze River in China, Mekong and Red River Delta and Halong Bay in Indochina, the Chindwin and Irrawaddy River in Myanmar and Kerala Backwaters in India.

New for 2016 are luxury vessels Sanctuary Yangzi Explorer in China and the Oberoi MV Vrinda in India.
