Growing demand and new Visa-free travel boost

Wendy Wu Tours Australia managing director, Simon Bell, reports that Australian interest in travelling to China has surged in recent months, particularly since June, when Australia was added to China’s 15-day visa-free entry list.

“China’s Visa-free entry policy has been a catalyst in heightened interest for trips to the Chinese mainland,” Bell said. “Increased flight frequencies and new routes connecting Australia to China have further fueled this growth, with personal incentives, like this business class upgrade offer, making it an ideal time for Australians to experience China’s diverse landscapes, cities, and cultures for themselves in 2025.”

Australia now ranks as the fifth-largest source of tourists to China, with demand rising for tours that take in destinations such as Shanghai, Beijing, Xi’an, Chongqing, Chengdu and Hangzhou, plus emerging nature destinations like Zhangjiajie in Hunan province.
