Western Australian tourism set to benefit from UK media coverage

Western Australia’s destination profile is being elevated thanks to a run of appearances on leading UK television programs highlighting key destinations for travel agents booking WA holidays.

The host of Masterchef UK, John Torode will front a mini-series on ‘This Morning’ on Tuesdays throughout September which will include a cooking segment with local ingredients from the Coral Coast.

English astronaut, Tim Peake’s new documentary, Secrets of the Universe will feature Western Australia in all its glory in the second episode of the season.

Australian brand, Anzcro curated an itinerary that features the key destinations set to feature on the This Morning show for agents to best utilise.

“It has been great, with the support of Tourism Western Australia, to be able to share the trailers and footage from the programme to our agents,” sales director, Anzcro, Shubra Halliday, said.

“We have also provided sample itineraries with images for them to share in our agents group which they in turn are promoting – the latest being a stay in Perth and visit to Rottnest to coincide with the first episode.

“We are also collaborating on training for agents, which we hope will give agents more confidence to send more clients down to this fantastic state.”
