What does travel mean to you?

What does travel mean to you?

Intrepid Travel has today thrown a question out to the world to find out what ignites people’s wanderlust.

‘What does travel mean to you?’

It’s such a simple question that draws out such diverse responses. Is it perspective? Freedom? A sunrise over the Serengeti? Slurping a hot bowl of pho in Hanoi? Travel means so many things to so many people and Intrepid wants to know what it means to agents across Australia.

Agents are invited to share their thoughts on what travel means to them at live.intrepidtravel.com for a chance to win one of five $1800 Intrepid Travel vouchers.

All they have to do is choose a beautiful travel photo and match it with some inspirational words that respond to the question, ‘what does travel mean to you’ to generate their very own personal mantra on the meaning of travel.

Agents are required to share their creation on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Pinterest and use the hashtags #LiveIntrepid and #IntrepidAgent to be in the running to win a voucher.

“At Intrepid, we think travel is life affirming and most importantly, it’s much more than just the seeing of sights,” MD James Thornton said.

“As a small group adventure travel company, we get travellers under the skin of a destination so they can uncover real life experiences. While Machu Picchu is an unmissable sight in Peru, we think those lasting memories are created over dinner with a local family or bartering at a local market.

“These are the experiences that people take with them through their lives – those intimate moments that forever change the way you see the world.”

“Now, we’re throwing the question over to our travellers and agents and we can’t wait to see the variety of answers, not to mention the range of beautiful photos that will fill the #LiveIntrepid feed.”

Agents have until October 16 2015 to enter the competition and the winners will be contacted later that month. The voucher can be put towards the recommended retail price of any Intrepid trip.

So, what does travel mean to you? Visit live.intrepidtravel.com to create a personal travel mantra.
