Where do diehard Star Wars fans go on holiday?

The highly anticipated release of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens is just around the corner, and we know your inner geek is rearing its four-eyed head.

To prepare for the impending fan frenzy, GoEuro.com, the search engine that compares and books European travel, has scoured the galaxies in search of the best destinations for Star Wars fans, including film locations for The Force Awakens.

Locations were rated using an oh-so-complex algorithm combining scores for accessibility, accommodation and amenities (each worth 10 per cent) with the all-important Strength of the Force (worth 70 per cent) to calculate their overall scores.

The Strength of the Force, of course, rates how strongly a fan will feel the presence of Star Wars at a given location.

So whether you’re a diehard Star Wars cosplayer or just a closet, it’s time to dust off your lightsabre and prepare your suitcase for intergalactic travel.

Brace yourself, because this is our countdown of the top five out-of-this-world Star Wars locations, courtesy of GoEuro.com.
