Yajambee Farms opens in the Moreton Bay region

Yajambee Farms has opened a new self-contained farm stay on their 42-hectare property in the Hinterland of the Moreton Bay region.

The property is located just an hour’s drive from Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast. It overlooks lush farmland where Yajambee’s grass fed cattle roam. Perched on top of Mount Mee, guests can enjoy views out to the Glass House Mountains and Moreton Island while soaking in the magnesium plunge pool or barbecuing Yajambee beef in the alfresco dining area.

Guests at the two-bedroom property can also read a book by the fireplace or explore local walking tracks in the D’Aguilar National Park. Nearby, Birches restaurant offers seasonal lunch and dinner menus from their classic Queenslander with wide verandas ideal for summer months and an indoor fireplace for winter.

Just a ten-minute drive from the property is Ocean View Estates, where visitors can enjoy a tour, tasting, and meal. Ocean View also specialises in events with dedicated spaces for ceremonies, entertaining, and helicopter landings.

Yajambee Farms is owned and run by Jamie and Gabe Yates who are passionate about ethical and regenerative farming. they sell 100 per cent grass-fed Angus beef from their own farm direct to families, offering a true paddock to plate experience.

“We are so thrilled to welcome this new boutique accommodation to the Moreton Bay’s tourism offering. Our Hinterland, including Mount Meet but also extending to Woodford, Samford and Dayboro, is growing in popularity as people discover what is just up the road from Brisbane,” Moreton Bay CEO, Tash Wheeler, said.

Farm stay owner Jamie said they are looking forward to welcoming more guests to experience their farm and in doing so, hope to educate more people around sustainable farming.
