YHA partners with Boomalli Aboriginal Artists Co-op for first Artist in Residence

Emerging artist and Bundjalung woman Rubyrose Bancroft recently took up residency at Sydney Harbour YHA, working in reception while creating art and sharing her process with travellers and the YHA team alike.

The young and highly talented Bundjalung artist from Northern NSW stayed at the Sydney Harbour YHA in late August to share the creative and cultural experience of developing her artwork with YHA’s guests.

Bancroft was introduced to YHA by the Boomalli Aboriginal Artists Co-operative art space in Leichhardt which is an Aboriginal-owned gallery dedicated to supporting NSW artists.

Boomalli is a co-operative with over 60 artist members based in Sydney and regionally.
