The Australian Travel Agents Co-operative (ATAC) hosted a standout celebration in Melbourne, recognising a diverse group of members representing exceptional performance and impressive growth across the national network.
The celebration began with an overnight stay at W Melbourne, followed by drinks at Curious, before guests were welcomed into an intimate private dining experience at Maha.
Guests were personally greeted by chef and restaurateur Shane Delia, whose passion for hospitality and storytelling has made him one of Australia’s most respected culinary figures. In addition to his acclaimed restaurants, Delia is known for his SBS food series exploring Mediterranean cuisine and culture – a reflection of the global perspective and connection that defines ATAC’s members.
Each Highflyer received a personalised and signed Maha cookbook, alongside a curated Melbourne welcome pack featuring St Ali coffee and Atypic chocolate – reinforcing ATAC’s long-standing commitment to supporting small, independent, and local businesses.
“Our Highflyers represent the diversity, ambiƟon and professionalism that has sustained ATAC for 40 years,” ATAC CEO Michelle Emerton said. “They include established leaders and members achieving significant growth, each contributing to the strength of the whole.
“As we enter our 40th year, we are reminded that ATAC’s success has always been built on collective effort. Every member plays a role in shaping our future. Celebrating excellence is important in addition to recognising the shared commitment that has carried this co-operative through four decades of change in our industry.”
The Melbourne celebration forms part of ATAC’s broader focus on member recognition and engagement as the co-operative prepares to mark its 40-year milestone in 2026 – a testament to the enduring power of co-operation in an evolving travel landscape.
