The Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) has announced that Afterpay is the major sponsor for the Beyond Borders Travel Summit on 25 October at ICC Sydney.

The strategic partnership underscores Afterpay’s commitment to supporting the travel industry’s growth and innovation.

Beyond Borders 2024 is poised to be the preeminent platform for discussing the travel industry’s resurgence and the emerging trends anticipated for 2025. The event offers an unparalleled opportunity for industry professionals to gain insights, network, exchange knowledge. Esteemed speakers, such as Graham “Skroo” Turner of Flight Centre Limited, Gai Tyrell of the Globus family of brands, and Gavin Smith of Royal Caribbean, are already confirmed to share their expertise.

Members can take advantage of a special ticket price, starting at $210 plus GST, with discounts available for group bookings. Non-member ticket prices start at $420. Students are also encouraged to join, with discounted rates ensuring the next generation of industry leaders can participate in the day’s proceedings.

ATIA CEO, Ingrid Fraser, said: “Afterpay’s innovative approach to financial solutions complements ATIA’s desire to foster innovation and growth within the travel industry, and we are delighted to welcome them as our major sponsor for Beyond Borders 2024.

“Afterpay’s sponsorship will enhance the summit’s ability to provide valuable insights and networking opportunities. The company’s innovative ‘buy now, pay later’ solutions are revolutionising how consumers engage with the travel industry, making this partnership particularly fitting.”

Afterpay country manager (APAC), Katrina Konstas, added: “We’re thrilled to partner with ATIA to deliver the inaugural Beyond Borders Travel Summit. This partnership with ATIA not only reflects Afterpay’s commitment to supporting innovation and growth within the travel industry but also underscores our mission to empower travellers with greater financial flexibility. Continuing to offer Afterpay to the travel industry isn’t just about convenience; it’s about unlocking possibilities.

“We look forward to enhancing the summit’s impact by providing valuable insights and networking opportunities for industry professionals, as we collectively navigate towards a future where travel is simpler, more flexible and financially empowering.”
