The Australian Tourism Industry Association (ATIA) has unveiled the lineup of speakers for the upcoming Beyond Borders On The Road (BBOTR) event in Adelaide on 28 July and Perth on 30 July.
The BBOTR events are part of ATIA’s A30 Strategy to strengthen community among travel professionals, facilitate cross-border industry connections, and provide members with direct access to national insights and advocacy.
ATIA is pleased to announce one of Australia’s most respected travel and tourism through leaders, Adele Labine-Romain, as the BBOTR keynote. As head of travel & tourism at Roy Morgan, and with past leadership roles at Deloitte, Tourism Australia, and the Tourism & Transport Forum, Labine-Romain brings unparalleled experience in strategy, data, and sector development.
Her keynote will deliver practical, real-world insights tailored for Australian travel businesses and her session will provide attendees with current trends, consumer sentiment analysis, and evidence-based foresight to support better business decisions in a rapidly evolving market.
Joining her on the program are:
- ATIA CEO, Dean Long, delivering a strategic update on ATIA’s national initiatives and sector leadership
- ATIA director of public policy and advocacy, Ingrid Fraser, sharing key outcomes from recent government advocacy efforts
- My First Job founder, Cass Champion, leading a panel on attracting the next generation of travel professional, featuring member voices and grassroots recruitment stories from Adelaide and Perth
Designed as an extension of the highly successful Beyond Borders Travel Summit, BBOTR is a deliberate effort to create more meaningful local engagement while showcasing the leadership and innovation driving the future of Australian travel.
Each event also includes a national market update, networking opportunities, and recognition of local NTIA finalists and winners.
“Beyond Borders On The Road is a powerful example of ATIA listening to members and delivering what they’ve asked for which is more events that matter, in locations that matter,” ATIA director of membership and industry affairs, Richard Taylor, said.
“Adele brings a depth of insight that’s rarely accessible in this format. Her data-led, strategic view of the sector is fascinating and directly useful to travel businesses looking to make smarter decisions.
“These events reflect everything ATIA stands for: connection, leadership and real value for members delivered on the ground, across the country.
“Our Project A30 promise is to make sure members feel even more connected, informed, and supported whether they’re in major cities or regional centres. BBOTR is one way we are bringing that commitment to life.”
