The Australian Travel Industry Association’s (ATIA) Beyond Borders on the Road (BBOTR) series has again resulted in sell-out events in Adelaide on 20 July and Perth on 22 July.

The BBOTR agenda for Adelaide and Perth again delivers networking opportunities, practical advice and tools to help members deliver value to travellers and strengthen the travel industry. Both events will feature updates from the ATIA leadership team on member services, industry insights and ATIA’s advocacy work.

The BBOTR series major sponsor, TravelPay, will give a session on the upcoming card surcharging changes from October 1. BBOTR Adelaide’s major sponsor, Switzerland Tourism, will update attendees on its trade engagements with Australian travel businesses.

The Adelaide and Perth events sold out after the tickets went on sale last month. They follow the success of BBOTR in Sydney in April and a huge turnout for Brisbane in May.

BBOTR culminates at the Beyond Borders Summit in Melbourne on 9 October. Tickets for the summit are now available for purchase.

“We’re delighted to see that BBOTR’s popularity has carried across the country this year,” ATIA chief executive officer Dean Long said. “We’re looking forward to seeing everyone in Adelaide and Perth ahead of the flagship Beyond Borders Summit in October.”

Just last week, ATIA said it is accepting expressions of interest from qualified travel professionals who would like to join the judging panel of the 2026 National Travel Industry Awards (NTIAs).

ATIA represents the majority of Australian travel agents, corporate agents, tour operators, wholesalers, and ITOs in Australia’s $70.6 billion travel industry.
